Why a new firm was worth starting
There is no shortage of ways to buy insurance in India. There is a shortage of anyone accountable for whether the cover was right.
Between the aggregators, which optimise for the lowest premium on a comparison table, and single-company agents, whose recommendations are bounded by one catalogue, sits the thing most people actually need: someone who will measure the exposure first, place the cover against it, and be present when the claim is filed.
PolicyZone was formed to occupy that space. We are a recent entrant to the market, and we are direct about it. What is not recent is the experience behind the firm — a team of seasoned professionals with years across both life and general insurance, who have watched enough claims through to settlement to know precisely which wordings matter and which sound impressive and do nothing.
